969 HQ Laser Imager |
Product Data Description The 3M™ 969 HQ Laser Imager from Imation™ is the highest resolution laser imager offered to date from Imation. Designed to meet today's needs and tomorrow's requirements, it offers features such as the Automatic Image Quality Control System. Simultaneous image acquisition from up to eight modalities. Film sizes of 8" x 10", 11" x 14" and 14" x 17". And a new ergonomically designed touch screen keypad. The Imation™ 969 HQ Laser Imager delivers flexibility, reliability and productivity. FeaturesAutomatic Image Quality Control The Automatic Image Quality Control System standard with the 969 HQ Laser Imager and XP-535 Film Processor offers consistent high-quality images. The system uses a built-in densitometer to set laser calibration and automatically matches contrast and density to the user's pre-set preferences. True Simultaneous Image Acquisition and Printing The 969 HQ Laser Imager provides image acquisition and printing through separately controlled microprocessors, allowing each user the ability to acquire and print simultaneously. The 32 megabytes of memory (RAM) available for each modality provide rapid acquisition and printing capabilities. Integrated Multi-Modality The 969 HQ Laser Imager accommodates up to eight modalities, with one or two users per modality. And, it is designed for both digital and analog inputs for maximum flexibility. Its modular design lets you purchase only as many input modules as needed, with the ability to add inputs easily at any time. Fiber Optic Interface Cables Using fiber optic interface cables, modalities may be located up to one kilometer away from the imager, enhancing site planning flexibility. In addition, fiber optic technology provides clean data transmission to ensure optimal image quality. Dual Printer Capability The electronics of the 969 HQ Laser Imager can be used to drive the 3M™ 969 HQ Dual Printer from Imation™, doubling your film output. The Imation™ 969 HQ Dual Printer is a cost-effective way to expand your throughput capacity. In addition, if either imager transport requires service, images may be routed to the working printer so your department never stops working. New Interfaces The bandwidth of the 969 HQ Laser Imager is 110 MHz, allowing it to capture images from the latest high-resolution video monitors. And the new high-speed digital interface module transfers data at up to eight megabytes per second, so there's no waiting for transfer of high-resolution image data, even today's 1280 x 1024 images. Remote Diagnostics Remote diagnostic capability is standard for the Imation 969 HQ Laser Imager. The built-in modem allows Imation's Technical Assistance Center to perform advanced diagnostic procedures over the phone. Many problems can be solved immediately, and when on-site service is required, the technician can arrive with the needed parts in hand. This results in maximum uptime for you. Imation Laser Imaging Film and Instant Daylight Load Cartridges Imation offers a choice of two laser imaging films developed specifically for the 969 HQ Laser Imager System. 3M™ HQB and HQC Laser Imaging Films from Imation™ offer a greater dynamic range, higher maximum density, improved image tone and sharp, easy-to-read graphics. The films are packaged in Instant Daylight Load Film Cartridges, which turn film loading into a one-step operation. The cartridges also feature bar codes which allow the 969 HQ Laser Imager to distinguish film type and the number of sheets remaining in the cartridge. Formatting Options The 969 HQ Laser Imager offers 1:1, 2:1, 4:1, 6:1, 9:1, 12:1, 15:1, 16:1, 20:1, 35mm slides and up to four custom formats for all image sizes up to 1280 x 1024 pixels on a single sheet of 14" x 17" film. Matched Image Display The 969 HQ Laser Imager offers 16 density and 15 contrast settings. Redesigned Laser Diode The solid state high-performance laser diode in the 969 HQ Laser Imager has been redesigned for even greater efficiency and reliability. Imation warrants the laser diode against defects for the life of the imager, under normal use and when used only with Imation Laser Imaging Film and supplies. Multiple Originals The 969 HQ Laser Imager can generate up to 99 multiple original films from stored digital data at the touch of a button. Remote Operation Modalities may be located as far as one kilometer away from the 969 HQ Laser Imager using optional fiber optic cable. Advanced Film Transport System The 969 HQ Laser Imager uses a horizontal film transport system to move the film without any turns along the path, resulting in exceptional reliability. Image Adjustment Users may select any two of 16 separate smoothing functions, including replicate and cubic spline, for optimum quality. Magnetic Field Performance The 969 HQ Laser Imager can operate in a magnetic field up to 100 Gauss while maintaining consistent image quality. Operation SequenceWhen the 969 HQ Laser Imager receives the print command, a film is moved from the supply magazine to the film exposure area. The film is moved through the exposure area by a roller system. A laser beam scans the film, exposing it line by line. When fully exposed, the film moves to a docking unit where it is transported to the film processor. MaintenanceThe Imation Cleaning Kit provides the necessary materials for operators to perform routine maintenance. Use of this kit will aid in proper film transport and will optimize image quality. Site PlanningThe footprint of the 969 HQ Laser Imager is 15% smaller than the Laser Imager XL. The 969 HQ Laser Imager has wheels that allow it to be repositioned as necessary. Processor FeaturesIntegrated Film Processing The 3M™ XP-535 Film Processor from Imation™ may be docked to the 969 HQ Laser Imager for completely "hands-off" operation. The electronics, film path and footprint of the Imation™ XP-535 Film Processor are engineered to precisely match the 969 HQ Laser Imager to ensure optimal image quality. Automatic Image Quality Control In combination with the 969 HQ Laser Imager, the XP-535 Film Processor offers our Automatic Image Quality Control System, featuring sophisticated self-calibration and automatic density monitoring. Operator-Independent Processing The XP-535 Film Processor offers automatic control of developer, fixer and wash water temperatures and replenishment rates, as well as in-line chemistry mixing.
